The Alive

That quality which appears to us in moments, unexpectedly

Sometimes alone -- Often with others

Sometimes amidst things people create -- Other times surrounded by that which nature creates

Often during joy -- But also in the depths of grief

Sometimes when engulfed in loud noise -- At other times in a deafening and lonely silence

Never predictable -- Yet repeatedly encountered -- Always uniquely encountered

These images invite an awakening to the Alive, an accounting of the Alive, a joining with the Alive.   

These images are about creation: that relationship between the Alive and the making of things; processes of assembling and reassembling, things people do which call upon Life.   

These images are also about an awakening to those structures and rigidities which tend to deny, twist and mangle the Alive within its living movements.
